Abstract
Every year in Nigeria, more than 500,000 adolescents complete secondary education. Roughly, 15% of this number have pre-requisite passes to enter universities, poly-technics, and other tertiary level institutions. Added to the more than 425,000 who fail to attain to the minimal level of success are several others who dropped out of school before completion. The drop out rate from secondary schools in Nigeria ranges from 30-70% depending on which part of the country one focuses upon.
